Emmm is a doll boy wants to visit the ice cream shop of his dreams. Blue is an abused girl with a degenerative skin disease. This unlikely pair make their way to StopMo City to try and find said ice cream. Instead they find their worst nightmares.
It is very unfortunate that this indie filmmaker can not attend the festival. He embodies everything that DIY filmmaking stands for. We were hoping to get to world premiere his new film, Heart String Marionette, but it will not be complete by festival time. Take a look at this article in The New York Times and read what they say about M Dot Strange. He is a great example of what an individual can do with the tools he has available, and social networking. In the future we will continue to work to get this amazing young filmmaker to Victoria–perhaps to our Young Filmmakers Workshop.
